Twice a year, we ask our members how they’re using The Bookmark, what’s working well, and where we can improve. This year’s survey confirmed something we’ve known all along: higher education institutions are looking for more than accurate licensure research. They’re looking for trusted partners who can help them save time, reduce risk, and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, and they’re continuing to turn to HELP for both.
Here are a few takeaways from our June 2026 Member Survey.
Trust Continues to Be Our Greatest Asset
Licensure compliance leaves little room for error. That’s why we were especially encouraged that members rated their confidence in The Bookmark’s accuracy and reliability at an average of 85 out of 100. That trust is reflected in comments like:
“The Bookmark has streamlined the process of ensuring our licensure information is accurate and up-to-date.”
“The Bookmark means I do not need to look up legal information on individual state websites.”
For us, that’s the ultimate goal: giving institutions confidence that they’re making decisions based on reliable, thoroughly researched information.
Saving Time Matters
Higher education compliance professionals wear many hats, and time is one of their most valuable resources.
Nearly half of survey respondents reported saving six or more hours each month by using The Bookmark instead of researching licensure requirements independently. About one in five estimated they save more than 20 hours each month.
As one member shared:
“It removes a huge burden of background research from my compliance team.”
When institutions spend less time searching for information, they can spend more time supporting students and strengthening their compliance processes.
The Bookmark Is More Than a Database
One of the most encouraging findings was that members don’t just value the platform; they value the people behind it.
Nearly 9 out of 10 respondents attended a HELP webinar in the past year, and many said they rely on our team for guidance when interpreting new regulations or navigating complex compliance questions.
One member wrote:
“We now have a trusted contact who helps us understand licensure research requirements.”
That’s exactly what we strive to be: a partner, not just a product.
There’s Always Room to Improve
While feedback on the new platform was overwhelmingly positive, members also gave us thoughtful ideas for what’s next. They asked for additional tutorials, easier navigation in a few areas, more guidance on using the API, and continued expansion into additional licenses.
We’re already using that feedback to help shape future enhancements.
